2006 Georgia Mountain Fair parade

A stream of classic cars stretches as far as the eye can see.
The annual Georgia Mountain Fair draws crowds from surrounding counties and visitors from all over the southeast. This year the parade that accompanies the fair drew larger crowds than ever as Governor Sonny Perdue served as the Grand Marshal of the event.

A brand new Saleen Mustang led the way, followed closely by Governor Perdue.

Tractors, classic cars, horses, and political candidates, and much more were also part of the event.

Those who missed it can still catch it on local cable channel 4, Windstream (formerly Alltel). The parade will be broadcast Thursday, July 27 at 1 p.m., Friday, July 28 at 5 p.m., Saturday, July 29 at 9:30 a.m and 11:30 a.m., and Sunday, July 30 at 6 p.m.
