Marvin Wesley Fulghum

Mr. Marvin Wesley Fulghum, Jr., age 73, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Monday, April 10, 2006 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta.

Mr. Fulghum was born Wednesday, October 5, 1932 in Thomas County, Georgia, to the late Marvin Wesley and Lillie (Hall) Fulghum. He was a US Air Force, Airman 1st class, Veteran, and had received the Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal. Mr. Fulghum was retired from Florida Power Corp. He was a member of Choestoe Baptist Church.

Survivors include: wife, Betty Fulghum of Blairsville; son, Marvin Wesley Fulghum, III of Blairsville; daughter, Tracy Wells of Maggie Valley, North Carolina; daughter, Sandy Ferrell of Anderson, South Carolina; son, Jimmy Fugett of Lanchester,Ohio; daughter, Diana White of Blairsville; sister, Rubye King of Thomasville, Georgia;, sister, Lillie Bell Huddelston of Valley, Alabama; grandchildren: Dustin Wells, Sarah Fulghum, Wesley Fulghum, Megan Kimbrell, Daniel Fugett, Jessica Fugett, Tara Thomas, Savannah Denmark, Kristi Ferrell, Jacob Ferrell, and Matthew Ferrell; great-grandchildren, Zachary Thomas and Railee Stephens.

Funeral services were held Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from the Choestoe Baptist

Stillwell officiating.

Music was provided by

Buddy Hunter, Tracy Wells

and Jo Mosley. Interment followed in Choestoe Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors presented by the North Georgia Honor Guard. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: W. C. Dampier, Bill Garrett, Al Tryan, Chris King, Donald Nicodemus, Daniel Garrett and Doc Garrett.
