Duane Edward Dyer

Mr. Duane Edward Dyer, 75, of Blairsville, Ga., died Sunday, April 16, 2006 at his residence.

Mr. Dyer was born Saturday, June 14, 1930 in Medina County, Ohio, to the late Edward Dyer and Mildred Cowhick Dyer. He was a member and deacon of Old Liberty Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Duane Dyer; grandson, Little Eddie Dyer; infant sister, Gaynelle Dyer; brothers, Dean and Raymond Dyer; and sister, Janice Kelley.

Survivors include his wife, Opal Gibson Dyer of Blairsville; daughter-in-law, Joyce Dyer of Lawrenceville, Ga.; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Becky Dyer, Eddie and Dietrich Dyer, Perry and Rosie Dyer, Troy and Becky Dyer; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Kenneth Deyton, Cynthia and Jeff Knight, Cheryl and Mark Griggs, Stephanie and James Fitzpatrick, all of Blairsville; brother, Arlen "Bub" Dyer of Blairsville; brother and sister-in-law, Lyndon and Caroline Dyer of Mancelona, Mich.; sister and brother-in-law, Vivian and Jerry Reid of Blairsville; 29 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April

18, 2006 at 4 p.m. from

the Old Liberty Baptist

Church with the Rev.

Harley Hunter and Rev.

Jerry Young officiating.

Music was provided by Marlie Griggs and the Old Liberty Church Choir. Interment followed in Old Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Brannon Dyer, Trent Dyer, Caleb Dyer, Chris Dyer, Alex Knight, Benjerman Dyer and Chris Anderson.
