Tour returns to Union Co.

The 2006 Ford Tour de Georgia got underway Tuesday as the race started in Augusta before finishing in Macon. For the second consecutive year Union County will serve as a stage host city when Stage 5 begins here in Blairsville this Saturday, April 22, at 11:30 a.m. Additionally, portions of Stage 4 (Dalton to Dahlonega) will cross through Union County on Friday. Race routes for both stage 4 and stage 5 are listed below, while maps of the two stages can be found on page 3C.
