Fundraiser forWoman's Enrichment Center

There will be fun and mouth-watering food available on Saturday April 29, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Shiloh Stables in Hayesville, N.C. The Biggest-Little Cowboy (Cowgirl) Barbeque and Hoedown takes place that evening and you don't want to miss it. There are a limited number of tickets left. Call Myra at 828389-2651 or Debbie at 828-389-6126 right away before they are all gone.

Silent auction items are very much needed for this event. If you have anything to donate, please call Myra or Debbie. You do not have to be at Shiloh on Saturday night to make a donation

This event is to support The Woman's Enrichment Center, a ministry of Appalachian Area Crisis Pregnancy, located in Blairsville, Ga. It serves five counties.

The Center is a Christian, non-denominational, non-profit organization whose mission is to defend life by supporting women in crisis pregnancies, bring healing to those who have been traumatized by abortion, and to educate through Christian teachings regarding abstinence. Classes are offered in Bible Study, Child Birth, Parenting, Couples, Sewing, Students Choice and Family Conflicts and Opportunities. Through their program "You're Unique," presented to 7th and 8th grades in counties in north Georgia and western North Carolina, 60 per cent of students decided to abstain from sex until marriage and teen pregnancy rates are lower in those counties compared to other places. Family BBQ will provide slow-cooked barbeque dinners for the Hoedown, and Terry and Sherri of "Sounds R Us" will play your favorite music all evening.

Master of Ceremonies, Pastor Alan Flowers of the Hiawassee Cowboy Church will keep things moving, and members of his Cowboy Church congregation will serve the food. The Enchanted Valley Square Dancers will be on hand to kick up their heels. Several auctions will be held throughout the evening including a Pie and Cake auction with goodies made by local church ladies and some businesses. Don Hunt will be the auctioneer. John Davis will perform special demonstrations.

The Center is grateful to the businesses and people in the local community for all their support with this fundraiser.
