Established in 1994, the Union Sentinel is a weekly publication covering Union County, GA - Blairsville and Suches. The Union Sentinel is part of the Sentinel Newspapers group that serves northeast Georgia and western North Carolina. This group consists of six publications: Union Sentinel, Towns Sentinel, Smoky Mtn. Sentinel, Cherokee Sentinel, Fannin Sentinel and Graham Sentinel. As the only four section newspaper in the area, the Union Sentinel provides the most extensive news coverage in all the areas that matter most to you.
